DR. Omkar Nath Banerjee

FOUNDER · CLINICAL PHYSICIAN · 45 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

A clinical tradition, carried forward.

Before there was a programme, there was a practice.

And before there was a practice, there was a physician who devoted more than four decades to the quiet, demanding work of listening to patients, studying their individual patterns and learning from the realities of clinical life.

Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee is the Founder of the practice and brings 45 years of clinical experience to the care of his patients.

His professional journey began with his DMS education at Mahesh Bhattacharya Homoeopathic Medical College, followed by years of intensive clinical exposure and learning under several eminent physicians of his time.

His association with these physicians became an important part of the clinical foundation upon which he built his own practice.

THE BEGINNING

Before there was a programme, there was a practice.

Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee’s career has been shaped by a generation of homoeopathic physicians for whom clinical medicine was learned not only from books, but through observation, discussion, case-taking and years spent beside patients.

During his formative years, he had the opportunity to learn from and work in the clinical environment of several respected physicians, including:

  • Dr. S. P. Dey
  • Dr. B. N. Chakraborty
  • Dr. J. N. Kanjilal
  • Dr. Gyan Majumdar
  • Dr. S. K. Dubey
  • Dr. D. D. Banerjee
  • Dr. B. K. Bose
  • Dr. Bishnupada Bhattacharya
  • Dr. P. C. Paul

Among these formative associations, his clinical work with Dr. B. N. Chakraborty, under whom he worked as an assistant in practice, holds a particularly important place in his professional journey.

These years of close clinical observation became part of the foundation of his own approach to practice.

LEARNING THROUGH CLINICAL LIFE

Medicine is learned differently when you spend decades listening to patients. For Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee, clinical experience has never been simply a number.

  • It has meant thousands of consultations.
  • Different constitutions.
  • Different circumstances.
  • Different expressions of illness.
  • Different responses to treatment.

And, above all, the accumulated understanding that comes from observing patients not merely at one point in time, but across the course of their lives.

Over 45 years of clinical practice, he has continued to build upon the principles of individualised homoeopathic care that shaped his early professional years.

THE CLINICAL LINEAGE

A tradition is not preserved by standing still.

It is carried forward by understanding its foundations and continuing to develop them.

THE FOUNDER’S PHILOSOPHY

The patient is never merely the diagnosis.

A diagnosis can provide a name for a condition.

A laboratory report can provide a measurement.

An investigation can reveal an important clinical finding.

But none of these, by themselves, can completely describe the person sitting across the consultation table.

This understanding has remained central to Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee’s approach throughout his clinical life.

His practice has been grounded in the importance of individuality, careful case-taking, clinical observation and understanding the patient in context.

It is a philosophy that has remained remarkably consistent even as medicine itself has changed.

“The disease may have a name.
The patient has a story.”

45 YEARS OF CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Four and a half decades of seeing medicine through the patient.

45 YEARS

Not as a statistic alone.

But as years of:-

Listening- Understanding the individual patient.

Observing- Recognising patterns across time.

Learning- Continuing to develop through clinical experience.

Reflecting- Learning from every case and every patient.

Practising- Applying those lessons to individualised care.

This accumulated experience forms the clinical foundation of the practice today.

FROM FOUNDER TO NEXT GENERATION

A practice can become a legacy without becoming a museum.

Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee founded the practice on the principles he developed through his education, clinical associations and decades of patient care.

Today, those foundations continue through the next generation.

Dr. Deb Om Banerjee, a second-generation homoeopathic physician, has carried this clinical tradition forward while developing it into a contemporary model of personalised and longitudinal healthcare.

The practice has therefore evolved without losing sight of where it began.

From individual case-taking to structured long-term care.

From a traditional clinical practice to a contemporary clinical ecosystem.

From one generation to the next.

FOUNDATION → CONTINUITY → EVOLUTION

WHAT HAS REMAINED CONSTANT

  • Medicine changes.
  • Technology changes.
  • Investigations become more sophisticated.
  • Our understanding of disease continues to evolve.
  • Yet certain principles remain timeless.
  • Listen before deciding.
  • Understand before prescribing.
  • Treat the individual, not merely the diagnosis.
  • Observe the patient over time.
  • Learn from clinical experience.

These principles formed the foundation of Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee’s practice.

They continue to influence the practice today.

THE PRACTICE TODAY

One foundation. Two generations. A continuing clinical philosophy.

The practice now brings together the experience of its founder with the next generation of physicians.

Different areas of experience.

One shared principle:

THE PERSON MATTERS.

A PHYSICIAN’S LEGACY

Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee’s contribution to the practice is not limited to the number of years he has spent in clinical practice.

  • It is also the clinical culture he established.
  • A culture in which the patient is heard.
  • The case is studied.
  • The individual is considered.
  • And experience is allowed to accumulate over time.

That foundation continues to influence how the practice approaches patients today.

THE STORY CONTINUES

45 years of practice.

One enduring principle.

What began as one physician’s clinical journey has become a continuing practice carried forward across generations.

  • Founded by Dr. Omkar Nath Banerjee.
  • Continued by the next generation.
  • Developed for the healthcare needs of today.

A practice founded on more than four decades of clinical experience, carried forward by the next generation and developed into a contemporary model of personalised, longitudinal care.
